Mr. Christopher deBethune

Dear Homer family etal The passing of time is marked by so many things, some good and some not so good, loosing your parent's is never fun however the celebration of Dick's life could only be full of good thought's Dick and Roxanne has you all know were like surrogate parent's to me, for which I am grateful. Having grown up in a maternal setting Roxanne's nurturing was always welcome as she was probably one of the most gracious people whom I had the pleasure to know, always concerned for my well being. Richard, well we bonded immediately and his interest in me as a person was very inspiring for me. I believe I first met Dick in Wellesley when I was about 13-14 years old at the Cliff Rd, house. He made an immediate impression on me as a self made man of many talent's and great verbal skill's which kept me spell bound. This wonderful man never treated me as a pesky teenager but as an individual with a brain and for that I loved him dearly. As year's went on I tried to stay in touch with the Homer's and visited with them on MDI as time allowed, Richard always greeted me with a big smile and never failed to put me to chore with what ever was needed which I was always happy to help with, cut and stack firewood (endless) wash dishes, help paint something it didn't matter what the task was and it was allways done with great vigor and enthusiasm, never seemed like a chore at all, just another reason to spend time together. I will miss Richard and Roxanne immensely they were a great part of who I am today. They continually loved me unconditionally and for that I am grateful, not every one get's that in life and I feel blessed to have been a part of they're vast and full live's. To Deborah, Susannah, Sarah, Steve, Nanci and all the cousin's whom I have met at various occasion's I offer my most humble condolences to the passing of Richard and Roxanne Homer they will be in my heart forever. All of my love Christopher deBethune
