The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Julius Krevans can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Patricia Perry

When my husband Dr. Stephen McPhee and I arrived at UCSF in July 1980, we were cordially welcomed by Dean Krevans who enthusiastically embraced Steve, a Johns Hopkins student, resident, and fellow (complete with Equanimitas tie) who was joining the Medicine faculty. As a hospital administrator, I deeply admired Dr. Krevans' ability to encourage the School and the hospital and later the campus to work so closely and fruitfully together. It set a practice of collaboration that continues to this day. I remember his decision to give up his pipe when he and the other campus leadership (including other smokers) decided that this medical sciences university needed to go smoke free--for the good of the many and his own very useful life. I will miss the twinkle in his eye. My deepest sympathies to Patsy and the family.
