Condolence: Liz, Mike , Tim and family
I always enjoyed talking to and listening to Shirley as he recalled his days as he was involved with youth sport in SWH. I appreciated his support for what I was doing at Harbor House. He will be missed by the community and his beloved family. He is in my thoughts and memories.

Condolence: As with almost everyone in SWHBR, Mr. Kelley was my barber for years. When I was at the US Merchant Marine Academy, I always went in for a regulation haircut just before returning after summer breaks. Shirley would tell me to come back the day before I left for a touch up (he never charged me for it). He always remembered what I was doing, where I was going to school and always asked about my time at sea and always talked about what his sons/family were up to. If I was away for a year, the conversation would pick up right where it left off as soon as you got back in the barber chair. He was an old fashioned barber and part of the old Southwest Harbor I grew up in and fondly remember. I have not had a decent haircut since those days (he was that good). He was part of the community and very much in touch with nearly every aspect of it. A great guy. My condolences to his family. CAPT Ian McIntyre USN
