Condolence From: Alma Petrini
Condolence: I started teaching at the Bow Elementary school in 1952 and was very fortunate to have Dr. Creaser as principal. She was professional, kind, helpful, and contributed to making the Bow school the wonderful place it was. The students were phenomenal and a joy to teach. The staff was dedicated and worked together as a team. Not one of the other schools I later worked in came close to the Bow experience. I also lived on Mansfield, less than three blocks from school, and that made it even more special. Through these years, Dr. Creaser and I exchanged Christmas cards and I always followed up with a telephone call. This past season, I spoke only to her caregiver who told me that Dr. Creaser always enjoyed receiving the telephone call. She will be remembered fondly. Rest in peace.

Condolence: It was with sadness that I read about the passing of my elementary school Principal, Dr. Moira Creaser. As a child, I recall her being filled with love and compassion for her students. My days at Bow Elementary School, which now seem so long ago helped make me and the many other students there become successful adults, due in part to Dr. Creaser's influence on us all. While I had not had contact with her for all these years, it is moments like these that make one reflect on life's journey and those who have had an influence in directing that journey. May she rest in Peace...

Condolence: Moira was a personal friend with whom I played bridge when the Creasers lived in Huntington Woods and Lathrup Village from the late l940's till she left Michigan. But I was fortunate to visit her in Maine many times, sometimes staying at the Blue Hill Inn and recently (perhaps 7 years ago) at her home. She was always so calm and her home seemed so peaceful--I told her/or wrote that often when I need a calming influence I think of the view of the ocean from her window. When I didn't hear from her at Christmas I phoned in early January, 2015 and talked to Amy, one of her caregivers. Even though it was hard for Moira to hear Amy put her on the line and we talked for a few minutes! I'm so grateful I called since I know it brightened her day. She was a lovely, kind and thoughtful friend.

Condolence: Ms. Creaser was the Principal when I first began school in Mrs. Baldwin's kindergarten class at Bow Elementary school. It was a wonderful neighborhood school. She was a lovely, kind and gentle woman, a true educational pioneer. We were so small and she looked so tall and sophisticated to us. Her smile was always reassuring.

We would play baseball at the school yard after school and she always remembered us long after we were gone from Bow Elementary school. You etched an indelible memory on your students. Thank you. God bless you Ms. Creaser -- rest in peace.

Condolence: I remember Ms. Creaser from my days at Bow Elementary as a kind, wonderful Principal who cared about her students. She was a classy lady who did a great job in a very large elementary school. Although, its been many years since I last saw her and have moved in my career in education. I have many fond memories of my days at Bow, my friends in the neighborhood and at school, and the important job that the administrators and teachers did in preparing us for life. Thanks Ms. Creaser.

Condolence From: Douglas Dovitz
Condolence: Dr. Creaser was a wonderful principal at Bow. My uncle Sol Dovitz was briefly assistant principal, I believe, while I was there; my aunt Lorraine Dovitz taught second grade after when I was in fifth grade, both under Dr. Creaser.

Dr. Creaser would be proud of the many Bow students who went on to successful careers. My brother and I are both attorneys in Detroit area. There were at least eight future doctors in the area on and east of Greenfield Road who were around my age. Surely our success is due in part to the outstanding culture of striving for success promoted while Dr. Creaser was principal. She was an kind and outstanding principal.
