Condolence: To my cousins, Laurie, Eddie and Mary Jayne,
We are so sorry. Aunt Joy had a tough road these past few years, but
I recall the Christmas Eve she showed up at our house with the wonderful Christmas stockings that she had made for our sons. She did a fabulous job as the book keeper at the co-op too. Just a couple of our good memories of a special lady. Love to you all.

Condolence: Dear Laurie, Eddie & Mary Jayne,

My earliest memories of Aunt Joy were when she took care of both Ollie and me while our parents were away on a trip. I was already calling Auntie Joy "Mom" by the time they'd returned and was quite upset when I had to leave. I'd become so attached to her. She was always a very loving and caring person to all of us. Rest assured you did the best you possibly could to help her navigate through the personal turmoil experienced during her last years. So many good memories of her.

Grammie Frances was always remarking about how proud she was of your Mother (and all of you). One of my favorites was hearing how Auntie Joy was one of the last to evacuate Bar Harbor during the 1947 fire, staying behind to handle the switchboard at the telephone company.

Hugs & love to all of you,
Cousin Susan (& Charlie)

Condolence: Laurie,Eddie,MaryJayne and family,
I am very sorry for the tremendous loss. Joy was such a dear woman and I have great memories of her and loved her huge sugar cookies we indulged in as kids. I used to see her at the old Wal-Mart when I was waiting for my friends to carpool to Bar Harbor. (She was a very early riser!!) We chatted a bit several times a month right there. It is to be a comfort knowing she is reunited with your Dad, Miriam and Bus! I love you all dear friends and send prayers your way. Love, Janie
