Obituary for Joy S. Jordan

Prospect Harbor
Joy S. Jordan, 84, died April 15, 2015 at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born in Bar Harbor, August 19, 1930 daughter of John Cudahy and Annie Frances (Hawkes) Spear.
She graduated from Bar Harbor High School and attended Gorham State Teachers College. Joy was a bookkeeper at the Corea Co-op for many years.
She is survived by her children, Laurie Mattila, Edward Jordan, Mary Jayne Jordan Naumann and husband James; grandchildren, Mary and Christopher Cooper, Robyn Colson-McLean and Tim Walton, Andrew Naumann and Rachel Welch, John Naumann; 9 great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Sam, Killian, Kollin, Kaleb, Mina, Josslin, Lexie, and Zoe; sisters, Mary Jane Graves, Judith Mickens, Laura Spear Henry; brothers, John Spear, Oliver Spear and wife Rose; special brother and sister-in-law, Robert Jordan and wife Georgina; and sister-in-law, Sheila Batson. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence S. Jordan, Jr; and brother, Robert Seeley.
At Joy’s request there will be no services. In her memory, celebrate Christmas joyfully.
A special thank you to Nana’s caregivers at Courtland Rehabilitation and Living Center for the wonderful care she received there.
