The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Harland Carr can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

We send our sympathies to Larry, Ron, Susan, Anna and families. We will see you tomorrow at the service. Love to you all.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Harl's passing. Another link lost in our family. I always enjoyed going to visit him with my mom in the summer. He lived a rich life and I was fortunate to get to listen to family history and his adventures mining gemstones during those visits. You are in my prayers.

Condolence: Dear Susan, Larry, Ron and families:
On behalf of my sisters Lurline and Ellen,my nephew Pao and myself, we wanted to extend our sympathy in the loss of your father. Mom had spoken of him this summer but she did not have the energy to visit. I had seen Harl Sept. 18th for a long visit when I was on my way to the airport. I left him a box of strawberry-flavored, Carnation instant breakfast and we talked about all of the people in his notebook of photos. His ability to express his thoughts got better toward the end of the visit and he showed me to the door that lead outside (I had more trouble finding it than he did!!).
I always enjoyed visiting your parents and later with your father. He had such a wealth of information and we enjoyed talking about the family history and geneology.
Our family appreciated your kind words on our own mother's funeral page recently and I hope these comments bring you a small degree of comfort as both of your parents were deeply cared about by our family. I also hope that you and your families can join us for the Gott-Stanley-Carr-McFarland-Soukup reunion at the Town Hill Community Hall on August 3rd next summer. We are planning to gather there every other year on the first Sunday of August for the foreseeable future to try to build a bond between the younger generations. In the past, I have prepared some kind of tribute to those who have died. If you send me photos of your families and/or of your dad and mom, I can scan them, return them and prepare a tribute.
Again, our deepest sympathy to all of you.
Georgia Tuttle
