Condolence: Frank and I met Ellie and Jack thru our family during visits to Florida. I remember the first time we went to their house on Moody Street. My mother told me that Ellie had great taste and that her home was lovely, and it was. Little did I know that the Moody Street Bar & Grille, as we came to call it, would become such a special place to us. When the day came that we went to Florida and our parents were no longer there, we felt a bit lost. Ellie called us and invited us to their home and into their hearts. We have loved them like family ever since. I discovered that there were many sides to Ellie Jordan. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook, she loved to sew and play the piano, she had a great career as a nurse anesthetist and worked in the family business and she loved animals, boating and baseball. I even found out this spring that she liked opera. But most of all she loved people. We would take all of our visitors from Maine to the Moody Street Bar & Grille, often calling from the beach, covered with sand and salt, to see if it was "open". Ellie would laugh and say our table was ready, then greet us at the door with open arms. We are blessed to have had Ellie & Jack in our lives. It will be hard to go back to Florida - the Moody Street Bar & Grille is closed.

Condolence: We will miss Elle but know she is with Jack now and that brings us comfort. They were our wonderful neighbors and friends here in St. Pete Beach. They had fun parties with great musicians attending and all of singing and dancing around. Elle cooked fabulously and Jack was the humorist and life of the party. They were well known at local eateries and the American Legion Post on our beach. We were lucky to have known them and we wish the family peace. Sincerely, Scott and Kathy LaDuke

Condolence: My fondest memories of Ellie are the many wonderful times I have spent in St Pete Beach with both her and Jack. They both always made me (and any friends or family that might happen to be with me) right at home - as if I had known them all of my life. She will be missed very much. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time. God Bless!
