Obituary for Blaine W. Haynes

Mt. Desert
Blaine Walter Haynes, 78, died Sept. 13, 2013 at an MDI hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Bar Harbor the son of Richard M. and Margaret (Cousins) Haynes.
He is survived by 2 sons, Steven Haynes and partner, Juanita Sprague and Terry Haynes and wife Leslie, all of Mt. Desert; a daughter, Suzette Wheaton and husband James, of Swans Island; 4 grandchildren, Betsy Wheaton, Andrea Belpher, Christopher and Kirste Haynes; 3 great-grandchildren, James and Lanna Belpher and Lucian Leonard; a brother Dana Haynes and wife Lucy, of Northeast Harbor. He was predeceased by his parents, a wife, Lenora “Nodie” (Walls) Haynes and a grandson, James “Jamie” Wheaton.
Private family services will be held.
Those who desire may make contributions in Blaine’s memory to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
