Obituary for Troy Glenn Adams

Sullivan
Troy Glenn Adams, 72, died August 8, 2012 at his residence in Sullivan. He was born in Reedley, CA, January 13, 1940 the son of Forrest Talmadge and Rosa Mae (Auten) Adams.
Troy served in the US Air Force as an engineer during the Vietnam conflict and served for 20 years at various bases throughout the world. He worked for the US Postal Service for 5 years and served as a clergy in the Downeast area for thirty years and also in Ellsworth at the Church of Christ. He was an avid sailor and owned a beautiful sailboat “Blitz”. Troy also volunteered for the restoration of Sumner Park in Sullivan.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Kate (King) of Sullivan; sons, Troy Adams, Jr. and wife Laurie of Tulsa, OK, Keith Young of Cherryfield, and Kingsley Adams and wife Megan of Randolph; daughters, Marigold Adams Clark and husband Jason of Hutto, TX, Amber Rose Crowtree of Unity, NH, and Florida Anne Knowles and husband Lyle of Travis AFB, CA; grandchildren, Seth, Lelani and Sarah Adams, Cameilla Rose, and Caryl Ann Young, Surrie and Kanyon Adams, Jackson and Lilly Clark, Cassie and Alicia Knowles; sisters, Betty Lou of Rochester, NY, and Alice Coster and husband John of Long Beach, CA; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Blaisdell Cemetery, Sullivan.
