Obituary for Susan B. Lamb

Southwest Harbor
Susan B. Lamb, 91, died July 14, 2015 at MDI Hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of James Gibson and Anne Hubberd (Bunting) Lamb.
She was a graduate of William and Mary College and received masters from Boston University. She taught for 40 years in the following places: Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, PA and Boston, MA. She played 7 years for the United States Lacrosse team and two years for the United States Hockey team. She held several National Committee position for the USWLA and UFHA.
She is survived by a brother of Houston, TX. and two nieces; one grand niece and two grand nephews. In addition she is survived by her companion of 45 years (as of 2005), Barbara Isherwood who lived with her and traveled exclusively.
A Memorial Service will be held, 12Noon, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Somesville Union Meeting House, UCC, Main St., Mt. Desert with Rev. Victor Stanley officiating.
