Obituary for Susan Jane Gee

Susan Jane (Spofford) Gee, 76, passed away May 10, 2013 at her home. She was born in Arlington, MA., November 24, 1936 the daughter of Carl S. and Mildred (Crocker) Spofford.
Susan grew up in Arlington, Mass and graduated from Arlington High School. While she worked at Sanders Associates as a draftsman, she met Frank A. Gee, Jr. They were married on June 7, 1958 in Lexington, MA. She and Frank lived in Billerica, MA for many years and after his passing, she moved to Hancock. Susan worked part time for the IRS and TJ Maxx. She was a Priesthood member of the Community of Christ. She loved gardening, nature, bird watching, the ocean, and everyone she met.
She is survived by her children, Lynda Fitzgerald, Steven, Daniel and Thomas Gee; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and best friend Jeannie Strout. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Gee, JR; and all of her brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the Hospice of Hancock County staff and volunteers for their kind and compassionate care of Susan.
A memorial service will be held in Susan’s garden, 34 Fiddlehead Lane, Hancock at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 18, 2013.
