Obituary for Stockton A. Andrews

Bar Harbor
Stockton Avery Andrews, 85, died July 31, 2012 at a MDI Hospital. He was born September 25, 1926 in Chestnut Hill, PA., the son of Schofield and Lillian Forsyth (Brown) Andrews.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He worked for many years as vice president at Contour Packaging in Philadelphia, PA. After retiring he and Loy moved to Bar Harbor. He was a volunteer for 10 years at the Bar Harbor Fire Department and also served on the Harbor Committee. He was a member of the Merion Cricket Club of Haverford, PA., the Harbor Club and the Northeast Harbor Fleet. Stockton was an avid yachtsman and he served as Commodore of the Bar Harbor Yacht Club.
Stockton is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Eleanor “Loy” (Dunham); son, Stockton A. Andrews Jr. and wife Rima Bulos of Cambridge, MA.; daughter, Ellen “Dougie” Kashin and husband Jeffrey D. of Buffalo, NY; brother, Schofield Andrews and wife Judy of Nova Scotia, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stuart B. Andrews.
A family graveside service will be held at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
