I first met Steve back in the 70's when a friend was producing some radio spots with him. I was instantly taken by his warmth and humor. I was fascinated by his experiences in the news business, and his was a truly remarkable career. Over the years, there were always more and more stories that I'd never heard before... he told me of the days when one could just walk up to the White House, knock on the door, and very possibly have a chat with the president...h e spoke of interviewing every first lady from Eleanor Roosevelt to Hillary Clinton... he saw the plane hit the Pentagon from a window in a nearby office building. And of course, there was his wonderful and equally fascinating wife Theo, who among her stories told of her time asa radio propagandist, the U.S. equivalent of Tokyo Rose. What a privilege to have know these two. My deep sympathy and every good wish goes to Theo and Teddi.
