Obituary for Sheila M. Sennett
Bar Harbor
Sheila M. Sennett, 83, died February 12, 2015 in Bar Harbor. She was born July 30, 1931, in Otter Creek, the daughter of Seth and Mercedes (Reynolds) Carter.
Sheila enjoyed taking care of the vegetable gardens, embroidery and doing puzzles. She was a wonderful, mother, grandmother, and cook. Sheila was a volunteer at Sonogee Rehab & Living Center and for Meals on Wheels. She was a former member of the Otter Creek Congregational Church, the Grange and the MDI Lioness Club.
She is survived by one son, Frank Sennett and wife, Rhonda of Westbrook; daughter-in-law, Kathy Sennett of Harmony; one grandson, Kyle Sennett of Bar Harbor; sister, Charlotte Cormier of Bangor; and sister-in-law, Jo-An Carter. Sheila is predeceased by her husband, Nelson R.; son, Seth Sennett; daughter, Leona Sennett; brothers, Earl and Clyde; and sister, Charlene Hilton.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm, Friday, February 20, 2015 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mt. Desert with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating. Spring interment will be at Otter Creek Cemetery.
