Martin Hasalm

To Sarge's family, Best Wishes to everyone in his family, I can not express enough how fond I was of Sarge, he was always willing to take a moment and say hi to me as I was growing up, just a few houses down. He was willing to let my friends and I play on his lawn out front of the house, as his driveway and Carroll's made an ideal football field for us to play. A local icon, I have had to priviledge to say I know. I can also say that my wife Becky has fond memories from working in the ice shop with him and trading military stories with each other. Let me be the first to say, I vividly remember his Pignic/Tremont Fire Dept Lobster Feed shirt, that I wondered if he ever took it off and when I gained teh courage to ask, his reply was "he just had alot of the same shirt" still not sure if that is true or not. I know he told me that he missed having Harry around, after Harry's motorcycle accident, he was also one of the first people to offer help to my mother Judy as well. Again Best Wishes and you have our condolences. Martin, Becky, and Cameron Haslam
