Obituary for Roger Shortt LaBrie

Brooksville
Roger Shortt LaBrie, 67, passed away September 11, 2015 at his home with the love and support of his family at his side; he fought a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Warren, NH, December 27, 1947 the son of Joseph R. and Francis (Shortt) LaBrie.
At the age of 17, Roger decided to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. Roger was a hard worker his entire life. His best job was that of a husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy was helping raise his grandchildren; he was very proud of every one of them for their own individual achievements.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Arlene (Gray) LaBrie; children, Gwen and husband Fred Lebel Sr, their children, Brittany, Makayla, Miacyn and baby on the way. Fred Jr. and wife Despe and their children, Devlin and Marcalyn. Yvonne and husband Cory Limeburner, their children, Katrina and Brienna. Stephanie and husband Christopher Bates, their children, Silas, Douglas and daughters, Olivia, Summer and son, Dustyn, his son, Dalton; brother, Milton and wife Sheila; sisters, Edith, Peggy, Dianne and Anne; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Joseph, Jr.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, September 18, 2015 at the Edgewood Cemetery, Brooksville.
