Obituary for Robert L. King, Sr

Bangor
Robert L. King, Sr., 70, died March 4, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 30, 1944 in Bar Harbor the son of Leonard E. and Marjorie V. (Conary) King.
Bob was a veteran of two tours in Vietnam serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Linnehan’s as a mechanic and opened his own garage, R. L. King & Son in Trenton.
Bob is survived by his mother, Marjorie of Ellsworth; a son, Robert L. King Jr. and wife Christie of Erie, PA; 3 brothers, Brian King of CA, Neil King and wife Lill of Rangeley, and Larry O. King of Surry; 7 sisters, Barbara Buchanan and husband Carlton of NC, Janet Butler of Eastbrook, Linda Jordan of Winter Harbor, Susan Pease and husband David of MA, Pamela Davis of Georgia, Naomi Turcott and husband Tony of Deltona, FL, and Rebecca Cozzens and husband Tom of New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews; special friends, Ralph and Nancy Grover and Bill Plummer. He was predeceased by his father, Leonard; brother, Richard King; nephew, Brian Ashmore and niece, Stephanie King.
Calling hours will be held 4-5pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin Street, Ellsworth with a funeral service at 5:00pm with Rev. Bruce Cummings officiating. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, May 28, 2015 at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta.
