Obituary for Robert L. Chamberland Jr.

Robert L. Chamberland, Jr., 73, died July 9, 2015 at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. He was born in Bath, July 23, 1941, son of Robert L. and Ruth H. (Shellenbarger) Chamberland, Sr.
Robert grew up in Bowdoin and graduated from Brunswick High School in 1959. Upon graduation, Robert joined the U.S. Air Force. In 1961, Robert and Rachel E. Frost were married. When he got out of the Air Force, he attended NBBI in Victoria Corner, New Brunswick. He joined GMSA and went to Chile with his family for two terms. He pastored several churches in Maine, retiring in August of 2014. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rachel; children, Randall Chamberland and wife Ronda of Hancock, Belinda Chamberland of Baileyville, Patrick Chamberland and wife Kathy of Sherman, Matthew Chamberland and wife Alisha of Minot, ND; six grandchildren; brother, Danny Oliver Chamberland and wife Diane of Clinton; Grammie Jane and Poppa Lloyd Rozelle; good friends, Barry and Carolyn Lord. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother.
Visiting hours will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Maine Coast Baptist Church, Bangor Road, Ellsworth with a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
Contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
