Obituary for Robert G. Buck

Bar Harbor
Robert G. Buck, 64, died peacefully on December 7, 2015 at home in Bar Harbor. He was born December 4, 1951 in Bar Harbor, the son of Robert Earl and Elizabeth Alberta (Goodwin) Buck (‘Bert & Bucky’).
A 1970 graduate of MDI High School, Bob operated the family business, Morang-Robinson Auto Co. in Bar Harbor for over 20 years. He also worked at Kallis Ford, both Sugarloaf Explorer and Islander Explorer transport systems and probably his most fun job, crewing on the Margaret Todd.
Bob was an active member of, Anah Shriner, Anah Funsters, Anah Aides, Jesters, Bar Harbor Masonic Lodge #185, A.F.& A.M., Blanquefort Commandery #13 and Acadia Chapter #31, both of Ellsworth.
Bob loved his friends and family and was most happy when with them. Some of his favorite pastimes: hanging out at Molasses Pond, skiing at Sugarloaf with Nancy and their boys, boat concerts on Cobbossee, 25 years of hunting camp with The Guys, Pats’ games (both in Foxboro & at home), finnan haddie on his birthday, and cruising with the Yayas.
Bob leaves behind many friends and family members, his wife of 32 years Nancy and their three sons, Jake and partner Tina Bonsant (and soon to arrive granddaughter, Julia Grace) of Windsor, Kyle and fiancée, Nikki Endre and children, Riley and Regan of Lamoine, Sam and girlfriend, Kirsti Littlefield of Ellsworth; and grandson, Tanner Seura of Ellsworth. He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara and her husband Raymond Weymouth and their daughter Chrystine and her children, in-laws Jane & Peter and their girls Kaitlyn, Molly & Hannah, Susan & Tom and son Alex, Lisa & Bob and their daughter Meaghan, and Linc & Dencie Fenno and many, many special friends and cousins. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Bert & Bucky, and his mother-in-law, Mary Lou.
Bob & his family wish to send special thanks to the many kind and caring folks at EMMC Cancer Care in Brewer.
Friends are invited to call between 4-6 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2015 with a Masonic service at 5:30 at Jordan-Fernald,1139 Main St., Mt. Desert where a memorial service will be held 2 PM, Monday, December 14, with Reverend Victor Stanley officiating.
