Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I cannot express the gratitude and respect that I had for Ray. He was always helpful and always eager to help with any technology questions or problems that I had in the classroom. Ray also had a special heart for any living thing. He would often take in fish that others could not have anymore. I was fortunate to have some of those fish that he gave me for the classroom. I often tell the story of how I ended up with the "huge" fish tank in my classroom and chuckle at the "snail infestation" that Ray passed on to my tank that took YEARS to get rid of! He also had a special ability to interact and encourage students with special needs. He would always say a cheery hello to them in the halls and if they needed any special equipment he was there to help them with it. I am so thankful for how he touched the lives of so many of my students! I am thankful to have known Ray and his memory will live on for me every time I tell that story of the "fish!" Thank you Ray, your memory will live on!

Condolence: As a Sumner teacher, I could count on Ray to solve any computer problem. Most important, Ray was a part of our staff family. I'm sorry to hear of his passing and I will keep his family and our school friends in my prayers. Special sympathies are sent to his Dad, may your heart be comforted in the coming days.

Condolence: I'm so very sad to hear of Ray's passing. I always enjoyed hearing him talk about his music, his flowers and the latest techie thing he had found that he thought I would understand but didn't. He was kind and thoughtful and will most definitely be missed. Rest in peace Ray.

Condolence: How does a mother say good-bye to her son? Ray was an accomplished musician, chef, gardener, knowledgeable computer tech, and the list goes on but more importantly he was my son and I miss him! Ray would call me each night to talk a bit or a lot about the day or reminisce about the past and always ended with "I love you Mom" no matter how hard his day. I am so thankful for those evening calls even though some were difficult - we had that last chance to say "I love you!"

Sweet dreams Ray and God Bless you! I love you! Mom

Condolence: I thank Uncle Ray for his encouragement and patience while giving me guitar lessons this past summer. I especially appreciate his kind and loving heart and for the wonderful gift of his guitar. Uncle Ray, I enjoyed the jam sessions! I miss you and I know that you are playing to all up in heaven. Love, Nick

Condolence: Damn. Very, very sad to hear this news. Ray and I were old friends and spent a lot of time together back in school days, though we'd fallen out of touch in recent years. I'm really glad to hear that he was well appreciated for his many talents. It's surreal to sit here writing this about my old buddy...knowing that we won't get the chance to reconnect and relive. Rest in peace Ray, love you brother.

Condolence: We miss you Ray! Ray was a very talented musician, cook and gardener. I am thankful that I shared with Ray these things and I am very proud and glad to have been a part of his passions these last couple of years. Ray we are missing your nightly "check-in" telephone calls but we know that you are in a better place and at peace. God Bless and love you! Deb

Condolence: In April of 1988 Ray Woodworth handed me a bass guitar and asked me if I knew how to play. I didn't know what a bass guitar was. From that very moment forward the bass guitar was my life's work and passion, and remains so until this day. Ray, perhaps more than any other person in this world, made the very most profound impact on my life. I had always hoped I would get a chance to tell him this. Every moment of every day of my life is touched by Ray Woodworth.

Condolence: I am so very sorry to hear of Ray's death. He was a wonderful support to all: staff, faculty, and students, at Sumner when we were both working there. He had many gifts which he shared generously with others, and had such talent for working with kids. I will always regret that I didn't get a chance yet to start my "dream school," because Ray would have been the first person I hired.

Condolence From: Jean Bissonnette
Condolence: My nephew was a gifted man. He was musical, artistic, creative and loved to cook.He would call me every day and just chat. He was checking to make sure his aunt Jean was doing ok. I will miss his phone calls, and his response when I would ask him, "how are you doing? " good enough I guess". Our conversations always ended with I love you and sending each other big hugs. You are now at peace Ray, and no longer physically suffering. I love you Ray and I know your spirit is with me daily.
