Obituary for Patricia Bowker Solari

Patricia Bowker Solari, 76, of Northeast Harbor, passed away after a short struggle with cancer at Eastern Maine Medical Center on March 13, 2012. She was born on February 12, 1936, in Machias, Maine, the daughter of Bertrum B. Bowker and Emily (Grant) Bowker.
Pat graduated from Bar Harbor High School and shortly after married her High School sweetheart, Frederick "Pete" Solari in 1954. Together they settled in Northeast Harbor and had their only daughter.
Pat was a devoted housewife and stay at home mom over the years. Family was everything to her. She cherished every moment spent with them and her friends.
Pat is predeceased by her father, Betrum B. Bowker, her mother Emily Grant Bowker, and her beloved husband Frederick "Pete" Solari.
Pat is survived by her loving daughter Helen S. King of Northeast Harbor, her sister Helen Whalen and her husband Omar of Sorrento, Grandchildren Chessie Kohr and her husband Jason of Ellsworth, Fred King and his fiancee Heather Thurston of Northeast Harbor, Great Grandchildren Ethan, Emma, and Elizabeth Kohr, her "shady lady Sadie" and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A service to celebrate Pats life will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at St. Ignatius Church in Northeast Harbor. A reception will be held following the service. A Private burial later on for the family.
