Obituary for Norman W. Moulton, Sr

Bar Harbor
Norman W. Moulton Sr., 92, died January 4, 2015 in Bar Harbor. He was born August 29, 1922 in Springvale, ME, the son of Harold C. and Luella R. (Russell) Moulton.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Norman earned his BS Degree from the University of Maine in Farmington and his Masters of Education from the University of Maine in Orono. He was a well known educator and superintendent throughout Maine, for many years. He also was a realtor and the innkeeper of the Stratford House Inn. Norman had 64 years of marriage to Barbara (Carney) Moulton as of December 15, 2014. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge, both of Bar Harbor.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Carney) Moulton of Bar Harbor; two sons, Norman W. Moulton Jr. and wife Leslee of Trenton and Stephen A. Moulton of Bar Harbor; one daughter, Jennifer E. Stonehouse and husband Tom of Alfred; son-in-law, Mitchell Small and wife Barbara of Ellsworth; brother, Harold Moulton and wife Karin of North Hampton, NH; grandchildren, Casey Hardwick and husband Nathan, Aaron Small and wife Sarah, Benjamin Small and Sarah and Abigail Stonehouse; many great-grandchildren. Norman was predeceased by a daughter, Paulette A. Small; three brothers, Harland, Kenneth and Clayton; a sister, Helen MacConnell; and a grandson, Christopher Stonehouse.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, May 16, 2015 at Bar Harbor Congregational Church, Bar Harbor
