Condolence From: Cathy and Jim Donovan
Condolence: Jim and I are saddened to hear of Norma's passing. We shopped at Beals for over 3 decades and Norma always welcomed us and remembered little nuances of our life and asked after them. She always greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. She will be sorely missed, may she rest in peace. A giant presence in Ellsworth is gone.

Condolence: I'll always remember how welcome I was whenever I stopped by the house to see one of the boys. Norma was a pleasure to see and talk with. My thoughts are with all of you.

Condolence: Gary and Lloyd--
You and your families are in our prayers. I greatly admired Norma...as did our father, Eldrid. She was kind, smart, and a workaholic--my favorite traits in anybody. I will miss her and the generation of Smiths who preceded her in passing.
Take care and come see us.

Condolence From: Barbara Smith Zolbrod
Condolence: I was sad to hear about Norma's passing and I will pray for the repose of her soul. I spent a winter in Ellsworth with my father John Eldrid Smith and visited Norma and Teddy at their store frequently. I remember Norma having the same smile and sense of humor that my father had. Because my father died before meeting his two granddaughters (Regina and Catherine Zolbrod), I am grateful that they got a chance to meet Norma and to hear about the famous Smith family of Calais.
