Obituary for Michael S. MacCulloch

Michael S. MacCulloch, 49, died July 30, 2014 in Ellsworth, ME. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, March 24, 1965, the son of William and Joan (Skinner) MacCulloch.
Michael had a passion for life and adventure. He solo hiked many 4K’s throughout New Hampshire. He loved photography and music. He was a pioneer in snowboarding, loved mountain biking and was an avid rock climber. Michael helped raise 2 sons and instilled in them his love for outdoor sports and life. He lived with his family near Acadia National Park in Maine. His legacy is etched in our hearts and the stories we share.
He is survived by his parents; sons, Nicholas and Kincaid MacCulloch of Bar Harbor; sisters, Heather Nuesslein and husband Larry of Bar Harbor, Bonnie MacCulloch and husband Gregory Shriver of Landenberg, PA; four nephews, Adam, Ian, Zeb, and Henry.
A memorial service is being planned with Bar Harbor Congregational Church and will be announced later. Interment will be in the family plot in Antrim, NH.
