Martha E.  DuLong
Martha E. DuLong, 97, died March 8, 2016 in Bar Harbor. She was born May 16, 1918 in Wakefield, MA., the daughter of Ira and Minola (Tufts) Richardson.
Martha was an avid knitter, known for her beautiful children’s sweaters. She enjoyed golf and was always the life of the party. She was a fixture at the Quietside Muffin Company, in and behind the counter.
She is survived by her son, Dudley F.(Skip) Holden III and wife Virginia of Southwest Harbor; step-daughter, Deanna DuLong of Danvers, MA; daughter-in- law, Jennifer DuLong of Peabody, MA.; sister, Charlotte Butters of Gorham, ME; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaugher; two nieces and three nephews. Martha was predeceased by her late husband, Joseph DuLong and by her first husband, Dudley F. Holden Jr; step-sons, Robert and Richard DuLong; and sister, Mary Elizabeth Brown.
A memorial service will be held 1:00pm, April 2, 2016 at the Southwest Harbor Congregational Church, 29 High Road, Southwest Harbor.
