Mae Head Sweet, Bangor, formerly of Ellsworth, died October 08, 2015 at a Bangor heathcare facility. She was born in Ellsworth, the daughter of Merrill and Jennie (Davis) Head.
She grew up and lived all her life in Ellsworth. She was owner and operator of M. R. Head Clothing Store. Mae was a great seamstress, and enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling and was an active community member with Birds Acre and the Business Association of Ellsworth. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mae is survived by her daughter, Jane Gillette of Hampden; brother, Joseph Boulette and wife Maryanne of East Madison; grandchildren, Mitchell Gillette, Michael Gillette and wife Gina, Tracy Malcolm and husband Mark, Joseph Boullette II, Linda Stotes, Jennifer Bernard; great-grandchildren, Evan Gillette, Andrew Gillette, Ryan Malcolm, Mary Malcolm, and Tyler Powell; nephew, Jeffrey Head; niece, Helena Pieratt. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill Madak; brother, Davis Head; sister, Helena Head; nephew, James Head.
Interment will be in Juniper Cemetery, Ellsworth
