Obituary for Lowell O. Tibbetts Sr.

Sullivan
Lowell O. Tibbetts, Sr., 71, died Nov. 9, 2011 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born June 19, 1940 in Addison, the son of Carroll and Violet (Pottle) Tibbetts.
Lowell was an avid reader and especially enjoyed watching NASCAR. He worked for many years as a heavy machinery operator at Allen’s Blueberry Freezer.
Lowell is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Joyce M. (Bunker) Tibbetts of Sullivan; one daughter, Rita Becker of Lamoine; six sons, Lowell Tibbetts, Jr. and companion, Karen McNeil, Joe Fountaine and wife, Ila, Wayne Fountaine and companion, Sharon, Steve Fountaine, all of Sullivan, Wesley Tibbetts of Ellsworth, and Michael Fountaine and wife, Anne of Orlando, FL; sister, Ellie Richardson and husband, Brian of Town Hill; many grandchildren and one niece.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
