Obituary for Lorna Ethel Gay

Milbridge
Lorna Ethel Gay, 90, died June 25, 2013 in Harrington. She was born March 30, 1923 in Steuben, the youngest of eight children of Eugene and Flossie (Follet) Pinkham.
She graduated from Steuben High School in 1941 and attended Husson College for two years. On May 25, 1946 she married Carroll V. Gay. She worked as a secretary to Bill Hathaway for many years. In the late 50’s she joined her husband, Carroll at the Gay’s Shop & Save in Milbridge, they worked for many years together until retirement. Upon retirement they moved to Zephyrhills, FL and in 1994 moved to Sun Lakes, AZ. They enjoyed traveling together and square dancing. Lorna moved back to Milbridge in 2005. She was an active member of the Milbridge Congregational Church in the early years.
She is survived by son, Tim Gay and partner Jesse Burns of Milbridge; grandsons, David Baker and Bruce Baker; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll, July 19, 2000; seven siblings, Beulah, Dora, Hilda, Sarah, Harry, Ralph and Floyd.
A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Milbridge.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Home for all their love and care of Lorna.
