Obituary for Leon Robert Tilden

LAMOINE
Leon R. Tilden, 27, died October 23, 2012 in Bangor. He was born June 20, 1985 in Ellsworth, a son of Robert L. and Lori (Pinkham) Tilden, Jr
In Leon’s younger years, he was on the baseball, soccer, and basketball teams in school and also ran track. He was known as the Avenger as he always stuck up for those that were being bullied. He enjoyed working with his hands, always working on something. Leon loved to build things out of wood. He built camps, treehouses, and fortresses; he was very much like his father in those ways. He turned the shed into a guest house. He was also very mechanical, could easily figure out what was wrong with any vehicle and fix it. Leon worked as a “reconditioning artist” at Morrison’s in Ellsworth.
He is survived by his mother, Lori; brother, Ben both of Lamoine; daughter, Kayli; half-sister, Shannon; grandmother, Loretta T. Tracy and husband Ernest of Ellsworth; niece, Karly; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, November 16, 2012 at the First Congregational Church UCC, 2 Church St. Ellsworth with Pastor Bob Maddocks and Rev. Nick Davis officiating.
Contributions in Leon’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, c/o Anah Temple, P O Box 735, Bangor 04401
