Obituary for Leola M. Higgins

Leola M Higgins, 87, of Seal Cove, died on February 9, 2012 at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 13,1924 to Milton and Velma Pomroy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Velma Pomroy, her husband Walter E. Higgins Sr, one son Walter E. Higgins Jr., and by two brothers, Alton and John Pomroy and by three sisters ,Irene and Cretia Pomroy and Gaynell Sumner and by one granddaughter Irene Savage.
Leola is survived by one son Milton Higgins and one daughter Dawna Spence, both of Seal Cove, one daughter in law, Linda Higgins of Seal Cove, one grandson Benjamin Higgins and his wife Lisa Higgins of Bar Harbor, one granddaughter Laura Schwenkel of Nevada, 5 great grandchildren-Nichole Savage, Matthew Savage, Thomas Savage, Kaleena Higgins and Parker Higgins, 5 great great grandchildren- Ashlar Savage, Cailin Savage, Irene Savage, Teresa Savage and Natalie Savage and one brother Roger and his wife Elizabeth (Libby) Pomroy of Seal Cove and by one sister Hilda and her husband Howard of Hall Quarry and by many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at Hill Rest Cemetery, West Tremont.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southwest Harbor/Tremont Ambulance Service P 0 Box 437 Southwest Harbor ME 04679 in Leola’s memory.
