Obituary for Kenneth R. Lemar

ST. PETERSBURG, FL / SOUTHWEST HARBOR
Kenneth Robert Lemar, 63, died Sept. 9, 2012 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born in Gardiner, Maine, March 4, 1949, the son of Robert Joseph and Dorothy Virginia (Huard) Lemar.
Ken served in the U. S. Navy during the Viet Nam Conflict. He was a member of the Ellsworth Elks and the Franklin Vets Club. He enjoyed collecting sports cards, coaching, and playing softball. He will be remembered as a caring father, grandfather, and husband.
Ken is survived by his father, Robert Lemar of Dresden and his mother, Dorothy Edwards of Brunswick; his beloved wife of eight years, Carla (Swanson) Lemar; daughters, Angela Cowperthwaite and husband, Wesley of Tampa, FL, Melissa Storey and husband, Michael of Cumberland, Paula Dowsland and husband, Shane of Southwest Harbor; grandchildren, Jessica, Camden, Cowen, Alexis, Spencer, Kylie, Addison, Brody; brother, William Edwards and wife, Kathy of Brunswick; sisters, Wilma Martel and husband, David of Rochester, NH, Wilena Skelton and husband, Floyd of Bowdoinham, and many cherished friends.
Interment will be at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery, Augusta, at a later date.
