Obituary for Katherine C. Richards

Bar Harbor
Katherine C. Richards, 98, died Oct. 26, 2013 at a MDI health care facility. She was born Nov. 30, 1914 in Machiasport the daughter of Frank R. and Elizabeth H. (Johnson) Crocker.
Katherine and her late husband Carl were caretakers for 32 years for the Joseph Pulitzer Estate in Bar Harbor. She was a life time member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as being a member of St. Savior’s Episcopal Church in Bar Harbor where she had been active in the Alter Guild.
She is survived by a niece, Sally Lagoy and husband, Al of Garner, North Carolina; a nephew Floyd Dunn and wife Dolores of Arrowsic; and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl L. Richards; 4 sisters, Helen Hale, Geneva Satterfield, Virginia Bunker and Lucy Dunn.
Graveside Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor with Rev. Timothy Fleck officiating.
