Obituary for June Hamblen Sanner

Southwest Harbor
June Hamblen Sanner, 89, died December 11, 2013 at a MDI healthcare facility. She was born April 18, 1924 in Southwest Harbor, the daughter of Walter Hilton and Bernice (Murphy) Hamblen.
She and her late husband owned and operated the former Walt’s Food Store in Southwest Harbor. She previously worked at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as a teller before store ownership. June was a life time member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son, Walter “Bud” Sanner and his wife, Debra of Southwest Harbor; three grandchildren; Jeffrey Sanner, Jillian Sanner and Jarrett Sanner all of Southwest Harbor. June was predeceased by her husband, Walter W. Sanner, her son, David A. Sanner and five brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St. Mt. Desert with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating.
