The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Kalkow can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: John R. Walker
Condolence: I have only discovered that my uncle, John Kalkow passed away in February of this year. I spent two holidays, 1977 and 1979 with John and Jean, my mother's sister at their home in Connecticut and their home in Maine. I feel sad that he had no family members around him in Sorrento where he died.
Rest in Peace Uncle John.

Condolence: A friend and fellow known to most of our church. John worshiped and worked many of our Prospect Harbor United Methodist Church events a few years ago. He shared many a story with us at Men's Fellowship breakfasts. At a Men's Fellowship "Weekend Wilderness" Retreat at Dow Pines Great Pond, John explained how to use Dowsing Rods made of twigs. As I lived in Scotland for five years we exchanged many a tall tale of our adventures as we both live close to the North Sea. God be with you till we meet again my friend.
