Obituary for Jennie M. Jenkins

Jennie M. (Beal) Jenkins, 94, died on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 in Brewer. She was born April 11, 1915 in Machiasport the daughter of Lester B. and Ida (Kinghorn) Beal.
She was a graduate of Washington Academy in East Machias and Maine School of Commerce (now Husson College).
Jennie retired after 25 years as staff secretary at the Jackson Laboratory. She had been a member of the Union Church of Northeast Harbor.
She is survived by her two daughters: Nancy Clark and husband Keith, and Ida Smallidge, all of Southwest Harbor; six grandchildren, Tammy Dickey and husband, William of Lamoine, Eric Clark and wife, Debbie and Vaughn Clark, all of Southwest Harbor, Jimmy Smallidge and wife, Mary of Dover, FL., Michael Smallidge and wife, Laurie of Rockland and Nathan Smallidge of Southwest Harbor; great-grandchildren; Kristien and Will Dickey of Lamoine, Christopher, Kyle and Katie Clark of Southwest Harbor, Alexandra, Connor and Candyce Smallidge of GA and other special family members: Ida Beal Moriarty, Donna Pagnano, Duane Jenkins, Dwight Dobbins and Harlan Dobbins.
In addition to her parents, Jennie was predeceased by her husband, Roy in 1974. Sisters, Lillian, Nellie, Fonnie, Margaret and brother, Lester. Mother-in-law, Ruth Jenkins-Hedges.
Spring graveside services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Northeast Harbor.
