Obituary for James Lewis Paviglionite

Ellsworth
James Paviglionite, 73, died unexpectedly September 21, 2015 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was a quiet man of many talents. He had a quick wit and could always be depended on to lend a hand to friends and neighbors.
Following graduation from Branford High School, he enlisted in the Navy SeaBees. He started his professional career at A M Bruning in Guilford, CT. He was lead foreman and eventually promoted to Plant Manager for the company’s Charleston, IL facility. After being transferred back to CT, Jim decided the corporate world wasn’t for him. He and his wife, Margaret moved to Southwest Harbor, ME and purchased rental cottages which they ran for 10 years as Harbour Woods. Jim served as an EMT with Southwest Harbor-Tremont Ambulance Service and filled in dispatching when needed. He also worked for Courier Publications and later with the Ellsworth American in the press room. One of his greatest pleasures was sailing and tinkering on his boat.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret Eden of Ellsworth, sisters, Laurie Martorella and her husband Tony, Tracy Waters, and brother; Jody L. Paviglionite and his wife Kim. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Christine Paviglionite Alvarez, and brother Terry L. Paviglionite
Calling hours will be held 4:00-6:00 pm, Friday, September 25, 2015 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth
