Cindy Reinertsen

Dear Pat and family, I studied PMC with Fred in Florida with the Florida Society of Goldsmith's Northeast. I think i took 3 or 4 classes with him. He had such a wonderful impact on my art expression. "Never judge a piece until it is finished." There's wisdom! Also, me, "how would I ..." Fred, "I don't know", which would send me off into a new direction to learn something brand new. I did that with a piece and he asked me how I did that, he had never seen that before. Rare are the teachers who can learn from their students. That was Fred. And never afraid to share information, because how would he know what you could do with it? I am sorry to hear of his passing. I will keep you and your famiy in my prayers. Fred was the best. Thanks for sharing him with us. (I worked with another friend of Fred's, Helen Howell. She was in several of his classes with me, and we continued to work together, she and I. She passed away just 4 months before Fred at the age of 84. She was an art teacher and long time metal smith. She loved him and thought the world of him. )
