Harold “Buster” Eugene Ingalls, Sr., 88, died September 28, 2012 in Bangor. He was born in Surry, October 10, 1923 the son of Eugene Alexander and Irene Harriet (Grindle) Ingalls.
Buster served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked at the Hancock County Creamery and for the US Postal Service in Ellsworth for 25 years. He was quite a bowler, enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and trapping. He was a huge Red Sox fan. He loved gardening, and was well known for his roadside cucumber stand and handmade birdbaths.
He is survived by his son, Harold E. Ingalls, Jr. and wife Vicki of Surry; daughter, Donna Jancewicz and husband Bob of Hancock; step-sons, Malcolm Card and wife Mary of Dedham, Gary Card of St. Cloud, FL; step-daughter, Pearl Fowler and husband Donnie of Surry; grandchildren, Jason Ingalls, Becky Maheu, Rachelle Card, Shannon Greatorex, Debra Becker, Nicolas, Tina, and Joe Bubel; great-grandson, Xander; brothers, Wayne Ingalls and wife Pat, Chester “Tommy” Ingalls and wife Deborah; sister, Jesse Jellison; and sister-in-law, Jeannette Griffin. He was predeceased by his wife Juanita (Martin); sons, Dale Ingalls, Harold Clyde Ingalls; stepsons, Harry E. Card, Milford Card, and Howard Grindle; brother, Clyde; sisters, Mildred “Ginger” Pelletier, and Catherine “Jill” Campbell.
Calling hours will be held 5:30-7:00pm, Monday, October 1, 2012 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth where a funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 2. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
