Condolence: It was with sadness and surprise that we read Tex's obituary in the paper. Chris and I go way back with Tex to April 1996, when we were looking to buy a house in the area. He was selling, we fell in love with the location, and a year later we moved in. He had been Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Lamoine, so we had expert advice on what we could and couldn't do.
He and Dot gave us, as a housewarming gift, a wonderful framed pen and ink drawing of "Huston's Beach" dated 1980, which we have hanging in our living room. We cherish it as we will the memory of a dear, gentle, kind man.
Tex and Dot had friends near and wide - Sorrento, Sullivan, Hancock, Lamoine, and of course, California. I understand his 4th of July lobster feeds were legendary. He will be missed by many.

Condolence: As I read the obituary for Mr. Huston, I was truly impressed by the outstanding and full life he lived. Never-the-less, losing such precious loved ones causes us much pain. How thankful we are that our grand Creator, plans to restore his original purpose and make it possible for all mankind (including loved ones we have lost in death) to live forever under perfect conditions. (Matthew 6:10; Job 14:14 & 15). Please accept our condolences as you deal with the loss of Mr. Huston and contemplate the hope of seeing him once again.

Condolence: On behalf of the extended Huston family, please accept our condolences. Harold was my first cousin, twice removed, and I looked forward to meeting him last year at camp in Shin Pond but he was unable to make it due to health reasons. After being in Maine on the first trip, I should have traveled to Maine to meet him but other things came up that seemed more important, which in terms of the grand scheme were not. This family has an amazing history built by people like Harold Huston. I hope the younger generations embrace it and run forward with it. Condolence From: Stacie Brown
Condolence: Gary, Becky and Kelley-
I am so sorry to hear of Tex's passing. Tex retired from Volunteering in August of 2008 so I did not get a chance to work with him directly. I have however been able to say Hi to him on Friday's when he would join the Volunteers for lunch in the cafeteria.

I am not sure what year Tex started Volunteering at MCMH as our records only go back so far, but I know he was Volunteering at least as far back as 2001. When he retired from Volunteering in 2008, he had given 2476 hours of service to our Hospital.

Although retired from Volunteering, Tex will always be "one of us" and I will miss seeing him on Friday's.

Best wishes to you and your family,

Stacie Brown, Volunteer Director, MCMH
