Condolence: Dearest Edna, Jane, & family
As part of the Visitors Bureau, Edna is like family to Jennifer & me, and it was with deep sadness that we learned of your beloved Hannah's passing. Edna is a very proud and loving Grandmother, and she kept us apprised of Hannah's college graduation and her chosen career in fashion. What a beautiful and accomplished young woman she was. And although we never had the pleasure of meeting Hannah, one only has to see her picture to see that she had an obvious zest for life. Our love and hearts go out to you - and know that you are in our prayers for God's peace and comfort during this terrible time.

Condolence: Sam and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of this tragic loss. I have fond memories of Hannah as a sweet, talented, art student in my Art classes at MDI High. So sad that the world will miss the contributions of her as a young emerging artist. May she rest in peace.

Condolence: Dear Jane and Sam,
I went to a concert Sunday afternoon at Saint Saviour’s Church. I have a vivid memory of seeing both of you there with a daughter at a concert, not sure when, but Sam you had a grin on your face and an arm around each woman. That sticks.

The concert ended with a Mendelssohn piece: “Grant unto us thy peace, O Lord; grant us thy peace enduring, for there is none, none with the strength, who could so firmly defend us. For thou art our hope and safety.” I will always associate these two.
How things can change in a blink. Jane, I saw you on Thursday at The Frock Swap, upbeat as usual. Sam and I have been working on the NEH Signage Committee and I looked forward to being a creative part of the Gallery’s spring show.
A split second changes our relationships to our family, each other, and what is important. I lost a sister, a creative, smart woman, a mother of 2 small girls. Her death was a terrible blow to our extended family, but it created a positive thing: an arts award that has continued to celebrate many since 1991. I hope something like that can evolve in Hannah’s memory to keep her spirit alive.
I remember meeting Hannah at the gallery and hearing about the new fashions several years ago. They are spectacular. And wrapping stones to make necklaces is perfect Shaw irony.
This community loves you. And we weep with you. Sydney
