Condolence: When I moved from Ellsworth in 2001, (Dental Associates), George and I exchanged cards every Christmas and birthday. When I sent his this year (May 10), and did not receive one, I knew something was amiss. George was one of my very favorite patients, entertainers, and friends. I send him one last hug, and to all his children, thanks for sharing that little poasrt of him that I got to know. Cheryl Todd

Condolence: Dear Hoffmann Family,
My heartfelt sympathy to you on the passing of your wonderful Father. He was always so proud of his children and has left you with many cherished memories. Condolence: I will miss George so very much. He was much loved by all who knew him, and he was known by so many in and around Winter Harbor. He made sure he called everyone by name, including the waitresses at Chases and Gerrish's, the folks that he saw at the Post Office, and those who attended community events at the Masonic Hall and Hammond Hall. We all felt a connection to George because he made every person that he came in contact with feel that he or she was important to him. George was an icon in the field of music, and often told stories of standing in line to audition with Frank Sinatra and Rudy Vallie. What a part of musical history he was! I have never met a more gracious gentleman than George Hoffmann and will think of him every time there is a piano concert at Schoodic Arts for All.

Condolence: I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Mr. Hoffmann's family. I have known him for a long time, and what a dear gentleman he was. No matter where or when I saw him, he always took the time to talk; I was so impressed that he immediately remembered me every time. I'm sure the family has a great many memories to cherish in their hearts, and he will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Condolence: It was my pleasure to have met and have had a part in his care at St. Joseph Hospital. We are both ex-military men and both love music. He certainly loved life and shared many stories during his care and stay here. People come into your life, even for a short period of time and leave a long lasting feeling of good will. I was blessed to have met George, my thoughts are with him and his family. Keith Sanford RN USA
