Obituary for Frederick Walter Pinkham

Frederick “Fred” Walter Pinkham, 69, passed away April 20, 2011 at his home in Southwest Harbor. He was born December 3, 1941 in Bar Harbor, the son of Emery Patterson and Dorothy (Hamor) Pinkham.
Fred graduated from Pemetic High School. He was a member of the Southwest Harbor Historical Society and the Manset Misfits, a special group of friends. He loved the Red Sox, Celtics and collecting baseball cards. He was a U. S. Army veteran. Fred worked in the fish factory, liquor stores, 7-11’s, and trained racing greyhounds. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Diana (Little) Pinkham of Southwest Harbor; his son, Edward Pinkham; step-sons, Richard and Michael Black; step-daughter, Theresa Williams; one sister, Mary Lawson and husband, Russell; grandchildren, Kristen Essman, Amanda, Lisa and Blake Bush; step-grandchildren, Allen and Kaylah Bush; nieces, Patty Pinkham and husband, Larry Albee, Betty Kelley and husband, Alfred; nephew, Gene Lawson and wife, Susan; and two special girls to him, Emma and Sarah Albee. Fred was predeceased by his parents, brothers Ira, Joe and Roger, and by a nephew, Michael Pinkham.
There will be a celebration of Fred’s life announced at a later date.
Contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
