Condolence: I just saw Father's obituary on Fenceviewer, June 18, 2013. I did not know that he passed. He married me and my husband at St. Vincent's Parish in Bucksport in 1988 and he left a mark on me as he always shared about world peace and the importance of it. It is still with me today.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He was a wonderful man and I miss his talks on life.

Condolence: Father Gower was a big influence in my childhood and a good friend of my parents. He always had a big smile and jokes for us kids. My brother, Rick, became an altar boy because of him. My families involvement in Sacred Heart Church was due to him also. I still remember the Talent Shows in the church hall. He was a great gift to our community and will be missed.

Condolence: Father Gower was the first priest in my memory at Sacred Heart in Waterville. I received my first communion from him and he also confirmed me. He was a mentor for myself and my family during the late 1950's and early 1960's, and he helped greatly over those years. I will always remember his huge smile and big heart. My prayers are will you at this difficult time.

Condolence: I don't know if I should be posting again. But I just have to share what happened to me this morning. I'm sure that everybody from Sacred Heart remembers when Father started the Folk Group. His favorite song was "Sons Of God" I spent years looking for an mp3 of that song. (I found an instumental version, but nothing with a vocal preformer.) Well this morning, within a matter of minutes, I found a wonderful recording of "Sons Of God" that is now on my computer. I've had a much better day today. Thank you, Father!
