Obituary for Everett N. White

Bar Harbor
Everett N. White, 72, of Bar Harbor died on Sunday March 22, 2015 in Bar Harbor. He was born on January 16, 1943, the son of Kenneth L. and Sylvia (née Pond) White.
Everett grew up in Bar Harbor and graduated from Bar Harbor High School in 1962. He and Ann Higgins were married in 1975. Everett started in the family business, R.L. White & Son after graduating high school, and took over ownership in 1983. He ran the business for many years, and was a very gifted master craftsman and wood carver. Everett served on the Board of Directors for Maine Greyhound Placement Services, and was a member of the Carpenters Union and the Antique Truck Club, and enjoyed driving an antique truck in the 4th of July Parade in Bar Harbor. He loved antique vehicles, trains, Maine Ships, and genealogy.
He is survived by his wife Ann; two sons, Patrick White and his wife Sarah of Bass Harbor, and Christopher White and his wife Michelle of Bar Harbor; two sons from a previous marriage, Eric and Kevin; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Evan, and sister, Elizabeth Adler.
