Obituary for Elsie Rolfe Davis

Ellsworth
Elsie Rolfe Davis, 85, died May 15, 2015 at her home in Ellsworth with her family by her side. She was born August 23, 1929 in Steuben, the daughter of Hollis N. and Frances L. (Smith) Rolfe.
She served as deputy clerk for the City of Ellsworth for 6 years and worked 19 years at the registry of deeds. Elsie was a member of the Irene Chapter 97 of Eastern Star of Ellsworth.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl D. Moon and husband Dennis of Hancock and Carol J. Davis of Ellsworth and special friend Joe Gauthier; one son, William “Billy” E. Davis of Ellsworth; grandchildren, Brian, Tony and George Moon, Jennifer and Jeremy Fowler; eight great-grandchildren, Courtney, Abby, Laney, Tyler, Jenna, Lilyana, Parker and Sam. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, William M. Davis; sisters, Avis Cowperthwaite and Betty Clark.
Graveside memorial services will be held 1:00 pm, June 6, 2015 at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth with Pastor Bud Morse officiating.
