Obituary for Elizabeth Juanita Grace

Elizabeth Juanita Grace, 86, known as Juanita, passed away peacefully October 2, 2015. She was also fondly called Pete, a nickname given to her as a child by her relatives in Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Edward and Alice Mary (Boyer) Battreal.
She grew up in Pitosi, Missouri, graduated from Pitosi High School and taught school for a year. She then moved to St. Louis and worked for the Social Security Administration. In 1965 she met and married Edward P. Grace Jr. the love of her life. They lived in Longmeadow, MA for many years and she continued working for Social Security. For retirement, they chose to move to Gouldsboro and have enjoyed over 35 years there. She was an avid gardener, golfer and crafter.
She leaves her husband, Edward P. Grace, Jr; stepson, Edward P. Grace, III and wife Holly; stepdaughter, Gail Grace Aills and husband Samuel; 4 grandsons, James J. Shea, Edward P. Grace, IV., Charles H. Grace, and Samuel P. Grace; many nieces, nephews and other relatives in Missouri. She was predeceased by her 7 siblings and her stepdaughter Sarah H. Grace.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
