Obituary for Eleanor Pratt Guthrie

Ellsworth
Eleanor Pratt Guthrie, 86, died November 04, 2014 at Courtland Rehab & Living Center, Ellsworth. She was born in Ellsworth, June 16, 1928 the daughter of Charles and Helen (Fernald) Pratt.
She attended schools in Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School. She married Richard Scott Guthrie. Spending time with her family and extended family was the joy of her life. In addition, she enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling and was an avid bowler, earning the title of State Champion in her age group. Eleanor was devoted to her family and many friends. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was active in the church Women’s Council.
She is survived by her children, Eleanor “Penny” Guthrie and partner Gill Levine of NH, Richard and wife Nancy of Hermon, Thelma and husband Richard Stevens of Calais, Jane and husband Danny Harper of Seal Cove, Mary Fleming of Dartmouth, MA, Susan Guthrie of Ellsworth, Patrick Guthrie of FL, Daniel and wife Kelly of Surry, and Peter and wife Joanne of NH; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was predeceased by her husband Richard; parents; sister, Kathryn Oleson; brother, Charles “Skip” Pratt; one granddaughter, Lisa Harper; two grandsons, Ryan Guthrie Foster, and Ryan Quirion Guthrie.
Calling hours will be held 4:00-6:00 pm, Friday, November 07, 2014 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 8th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 231 Main St. Ellsworth.
