Obituary for Dorothy E. Leach

Ellsworth
Dorothy E. Leach, 94, died May 26, 2014 at Collier’s Rehab & Nursing Center, Ellsworth. She was born in Veazie, March 03, 1920 the daughter of Leonard E. and Jennie (Coombs) Lambert.
Dorothy was a loving, caring mother. She retired after 25 years in the dietary department at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, she then became a faithful volunteer. She was a life member of the OES Irene Chapter #97 and a member of the Union Congregational Church of Ellsworth. In her early years she was an avid bowler.
She is survived by daughters, Jean Forney and husband Thomas, Donna Shea and husband John all of Ellsworth; nieces, Rita Blair, Cindy Avery; nephew, Charles Russell. She was predeceased by her husband, Alden "Pete" Leach; sisters, Phyllis Dow and Vivian Mickun.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am, Monday, June 2, 2014 at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St. Ellsworth with Pastor Bob Maddocks officiating with a reception to follow at the funeral home. Interment will be at 1:00 pm Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
