Obituary for Don Harris Graham

Don Harris Graham, 47, died February 12, 2014 unexpectedly at his home. He was born in Machias, July 31, 1966, the son of Edward and Ethel (Gower) Graham.
He graduated from Washington Academy in 1984. Following graduation he attended Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute for welding. He received his open water Dive certificate in 1986. Don loved scuba diving, fishing, hiking, camping, and sailing. He always had a project going on, he loved to create and fabricate things whether it was for himself or others – anything from welding to making and decorating cakes. Don loved being around people and was well liked by many for his clever, gentle, and patient personality. He was a great husband and father.
Don is survived by his wife Terry (Therese); son, Aaron Graham and friend Elizabeth Keene; sister, Pam Jordan of East Machias; brother, Vance (Duane) Graham of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Tara Bartko and husband Brian of East Machias, Tammy Whalen and friend Doug Walker of NC; stepchildren, Patricia Scesny and husband Shawn, Jared Scesny and wife Sandy; four step-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held 1:00pm, March 8, 2013 at the American Legion Municipal Parking Lot, Southwest Harbor. A graveside service will held in the spring at the Jacksonville Cemetery, Jacksonville, ME.
